Acid wasn't getting a whole lot of bad press at the time, and as I saw the whole bad-press thing happen, I became aware that the government had done a whole lie on all the other benign drugs as well. It became clear to me that the government wanted no real drug education.

I was still thought of as a kid actor even though I was in my mid twenties.

A lot of my friends were fooling around with drugs then.

I wanted to go to regular high school - it looked like a lot of fun.

The kids put you on a pedestal. I didn't like it.

When you left on Saturday, I felt a horrible void, I saw you everywhere, on the beach, in your room, in the garden: impossible for me to get used to the idea that you had left.

I hate vacations. If you can build buildings, why sit on the beach?

I move between San Francisco and Paris... I have a wonderful beach house in California.

But I try to steal other moments. Sometimes I get up very early in the morning and enjoy a quiet house and cup of tea before the craziness begins. Other times, I'll take a quick walk on the beach. You can find peace in a few minutes.
